Cardiac Physiologist, Galway

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with Galway University Hospital are currently recruiting for a Cardiac Physiologist for a permanent position.

As a Cardiac Physiologists, you will work in a key role  supporting invasive cardiac investigations and interventions, including full participation in the 24/7 on-call Primary PCI Service, as part of the National Acute Coronary Syndrome Programme as well as working as part of the GUH Community Cardiac Diagnostics Service. Performance of all non-invasive cardiac investigations or other duties deemed appropriate to your role, coupled with providing assistance to the Chief II and Chief I Physiologists in providing and developing a busy service.

The department provides a full range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac investigations and treatments including; ECG, Echocardiogram, Exercise Stress Testing, Blood pressure monitoring, Holter Monitoring, Event Monitors, Pacemaker and Defibrillator follow-up, Transoesophageal Echocardiogram, Coronary Angiography and Coronary Angioplasty and stenting procedures.

Interested candidates are required to:

• Possess a Degree in Clinical Physiology / Clinical Measurement Science or a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (Prior to 2005) or other  qualification deemed equivalent by the IICMS
• Some post graduate experience working in a non-invasive and/or invasive setting
• The ability to perform and interpret ECHO
