Vascular Physiologist required for a large leading Private Hospital in Galway.  

You will:

Perform, interpret and report independently on specialist diagnostic tests on patients from requests from clinicians

Analyse requests from Doctors and select necessary test and prioritise them according to clinical need and resources available

Communicate clearly and sensitively with patients undergoing exams and assist in their preparation for these

Perform vascular diagnostic tests using ultrasound and other equipment

Recognise when scans are sub-optimal and select/advise on other imaging modalities where necessary

Be able to interpret complex anatomy and pathology in order to provide clear diagnostic findings

Make complex interpretive judgements based on interactively acquired ultrasound blood flow data and imaging

Record test information clearly and accurately in appropriate media

Communicate results and diagnostic information to referring clinicians with appropriate urgency including alerting the clinician when further investigation or treatment is indicated. Be able to communicate complex information clearly to clinicians to enable effective decisions

Ensure all tests are conducted and reported to agreed protocols in accordance with protocols and with best practice

You Need:

BSc in Clinical Measurement Science

2+ years' experience in an acute setting

Commitment to provide a quality patient centred care service

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work on own an initiative and as part of a team
