THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The overall responsibility within this role will be to ensure that all work is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment.
Under the supervision and direction of qualified nursing staff you carry out a wide range of duties to care for, support, and provide information to patients and their families.

Responsibilities may include:

looking after the physical comfort of patients, for example helping them to wash themselves and emptying bedpans

keeping departments clean and tidy, for example cleaning equipment and making and changing beds

taking and recording basic observations such as blood pressure and temperature

helping patients to eat and to move about, if they have mobility problems

listening and talking to patients.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the role, you will need to:

• Right to work in UK
• have full immunizations history
• possess excellent communication skills

• HCA, Torquay - Ad hoc or block bookings for next 3 months
• THE BACKGROUND:
• At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with the NHS Hospitals based in Torquay. They have available opportunities for a HCAs with excellent experience, skills and knowledge. They are looking for HCAs to work days (07:30-20:00) and nights (19:30-08:00) at Torbay Hospital and surrounding Community Hospitals. You must be willing to work at Covid Wards, None Covid, General and A&E. If you think the position is right for you, let's talk.
• THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Healthcare assistants are often the first point of contact for a patient, so you'll need to be friendly and confident, with good interpersonal skills. You'll need to be able to put patients at their ease, helping them with their personal care while making sure they feel comfortable.

• have min 6 months hospital experience
• have full immunizations history
• possess excellent communication skills
