Duties & Responsibilities

• Essential that the appropriate candidate can carry out general and highly complex PET/CT and Radiographic procedures ensuring high professional standards of work are achieved and maintained while abiding by strict current legislation.
• Implement and maintain a quality assurance programme for the Department. Regularly liaise with the physicist on safety issues and other operational issues as appropriate.
• Be accountable for the day-to-day quality of the service provided, including customer service and technical aspects.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, protocols, and guidelines to ensure optimum utilisation of resources and systematic audit of such usage.
• To keep abreast in understanding and knowledge of all new developments which are applicable to PET/CT Imaging. To offer help and advice to more junior members of staff

Qualifications & Experience

• Third level degree (hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and possess a recognised postgraduate course in Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT as recognised by the IIRRT
• Be a member of or be eligible for membership of The Irish Institute of radiography and Radiation Therapy (IIRRT)
• Must be registered in the Radiographer’s Division by The Radiographers Registration Board maintained at CORU
