Senior Healthcare Assistant

Our client, a new residential care facility, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their team in Dublin 22.

Our client provides convalescence and long-term care to adults with varying conditions in a large and modern facility located near Clondalkin village. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, assisting with daily activities, and working closely with the Healthcare Assistant Manager and nursing staff to ensure the well-being of the residents. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant looking to progress in their career.

Responsibilities of a Senior Healthcare Assistant

• Assisting residents with personal care needs and all activities of daily living
• Liaising with the nurse on duty about residents' care and condition
• Promote residents' independence and provide support
• Adhere to infection control protocols
• Supervising and training junior healthcare assistants
• Act as team lead in absence of the HCA manager

Job Requirements

• QQI/FETAC level 5 certificate in Healthcare
• Previous experience in a nursing home or hospital environment
• Excellent bedside manner
• A hardworking attitude and a teamwork-based approach
