Job Description
Job Type: This is a Full-Time or Part-Time, permanent position (Full-Time post = 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Sunday).
Shift Pattern: We are open to flexible work patterns, which can include Days only or Nights only positions, as well as mixed shift rotations.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Haematology 513Nurse to join our Haematology/Stem Cell Transplant Unit based at our award-winning Cancer Centre in London. We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £44,639 - £51,388 per annum.
We are also offering an attractive £5,000 Golden Hello welcome' incentive payment to successful candidates who join us*

Role Overview
To work with an exceptional multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest standard of outstanding person-centred care within this specialist unit
Role
·Responsible for individualised patient care acting as the named nurse, using a holistic, pro-active and dynamic approach to all patients with oncological/haematological care needs.
·Ensure effective use of manpower and resources in relation to the dependency of patients in keeping with current editions of the FACT-JACIE accreditation standards.
·Provide leadership and motivation and to be flexible in staffing situations, deputising for the ward manager when necessary.
·Organise and participate in teaching, assessing and orientating staff as well as supporting in the training programmes regarding blood transfusion competencies.
·Participate in our UKONS Triage acute oncology service bleep holder scheme.
·Develop and participate in research-based practice, quality assurance and clinical and local audits.
Requirements
·Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration
·Post registration course in either haematology, stem cell transplant module/modules, chemotherapy administration and/or cancer foundation course.
·Post registration experience working on an Oncology and/or Haematology Unit is preferred.
·Experience in Stem Cell Transplantation is advantageous
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a calm and pleasant disposition and good problem solving and organisational skills.
