Applicant must possess the following:

*A Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent professional

qualification and at least one year post qualification experience in

Intellectual Disability

* Candidates must be registered with CORU at time of application

* Understanding of the needs of children with intellectual disability

* Experienced in working in a multidisciplinary environment/team

* Good Communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description:

*To work as part of the Children’s Disability Team to provide therapeutic service to children and young people(0-18 Years) with a range of complex needs arising from a disability

*Work as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team

*To provide an occupational therapy service including assessment, intervention, programme planning, monitoring, consultation and/or onward referral services, as appropriate.

*To prioritise together with the Manager in order to optimise the quality, efficacy and equity of the service provided.

*Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports and discharge summaries in accordance with local services and professional standards.
