Job Description

Cpl Healthcare is delighted to have partnered with a renowned Dublin based independent 182 bedded acute psychiatric teaching hospital to recruit for the role of Infection Control and Phlebotomy Nurse (CNM2)

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses to play an integral and active role in a committed Multidisciplinary Team to make a significant contribution in mental healthcare treatment services, providing generic and specialist in-patient assessment and treatment to patients referred from across the country. The Hospital holds a Certificate of Registration with the Mental Health Commission as an Approved Centre in compliance with the Mental Health Act 2001.

Reporting to the CNM3, the Infection Control and Phlebotomy Nurse (CNM2) is a pivotal position for the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of a comprehensive infection control service. In addition, this position is responsible for providing and maintaining a phlebotomy service that is in line with best practice and responsive to the organizations needs. He or she will also have a key role in the Hepatitis B, Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination program of the organization.

To be considered for this role the following criteria apply:

Must be registered or eligible for registration on the NMBI RGN/RPN register

Five years post qualification experience

Proven clinical and professional managerial ability, leadership, and organizational skills

A Level 8 post-registration National Qualifications Authority of Ireland major academic award relevant to the area of specialist knowledge or commitment to obtaining such a qualification within 3 years from the date of commencement of the post.

Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.

Have demonstrable previous experience in the areas of infection control and phlebotomy

Have the ability to lead, motivate and teach staff
