In association with their client CPL Healthcare have an immediate requirement for registered midwives at Cork University Maternity Hospital (CUMH).

THE CLIENT

CUMH is part of the Cork University Hospital (CUH) campus. The 800 bed general hospital is the largest university teaching hospital in Ireland and the only Level 1 Trauma centre in the country.  Opened in 2007, the 126 bed CUMH is a purpose built maternity hospital and presents exceptional career opportunities for midwives. 

The birthing suite has 12 individual delivery rooms, one of which has a birth pool. The theatre suite has four operating theatres; two obstetric theatres for Caesarean sections and two gynaecology theatres. The neonatal unit has 46 cots, six designated intensive care cots, six high dependency cots and 34 special care cots.

THE JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Midwifery qualification
• Ideally you will have full registration on the midwifery division of the NMBI or be close to obtaining same. 
• Midwives with IELTS/OET acquired and to NMBI standards will be considered. 
• You must be eligible to work in Ireland 
• You must have excellent communication and teamwork skills
