Job Description
PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT CO-ORDINATOR
FULL TIME 2-YEAR FIXED TERM POSITION
With new and exciting developments ahead, our client is seeking to recruit for a Practice Development Co-ordinator for its Caring Services for retired missionary priests in the beautiful countryside of West Co. Wicklow. The new Practice Development Co-ordinator will be part of the evolving operational and strategic team with the goal of providing evidence-based care within an expanding service.
The 24 bedded nurse-led unit which is fully integrated in the facilities community, offers a friendly and relaxed environment for residents and staff, all of whom are highly valued and respected. Caring services include both long term and respite care within the Care Unit. Recent developments include an evolving social care service for independent living for the greater retired Society Membership.
Our client operates under the Governance of the Charity Regulator with Charity number CHY3397.
This role arises from the need to review and update all structures with collaborative implementation of evidence-based practice to deliver person-centred care in all areas of support.
The successful candidate should have:
- Two years’ nursing experience (at least) with relevant experience
- Registered General Nursing qualification preferred
- Full registration with NMBI
- Excellent communication, organisational, change management and leadership skills
- Track record of clinical excellence and quality improvements
- Knowledge of IT software – Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Genuine interest in working with the elderly and in practice development
- An understanding of evidence-based practice and research
- A willingness to develop staff knowledge and skill
- Previous elderly care experience is desirable
- Person of impeccable character to act as a role model to demonstrate core values and behaviour therefore reinforcing high standards of practice
