The Directorate Nurse Manager is a key member of the Nursing Management Team,  providing operational and clinical leadership to support ward managers and nursing teams in providing the highest possible quality of care. As part of the Nursing Management Team the Directorate Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing and to provide professional leadership for all nursing staff in the Emergency Department. This includes ensuring there is effective, patient centred professional practice in accordance with statutory professional and clinical governance requirements.

This is an extremely busy ED department and interested applicants need to not only understand the complexities and requirements of the role but also will be required to demonstrate they have the skills, knowledge and expertise to be successful in the role. 

Salary will be in accordance with the current approved salary scale at a point in line with Government pay policy, €70,373 - €84,877
