Job Description:

CPL Healthcare are actively seeking skilled and trained qualified healthcare assistants to join a well known service based in Galway. We are recruiting experienced, caring specialists to support adults with disabilities in the comfort of his/her own home. Healthcare assistants are solely responsible for the running of the requirements of the individuals daily care plan as well as ensuring that all duties carried out are acknowledged and support the individuals dignity and wellbeing. This position is available on full/ part- time, temporary/ permanent contract basis. CPL Healthcare are offering a striking and driven salary package as well as many employee wellbeing incentives.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out personal care whilst remaining respectful and supporting the individuals dignity at all times.
• Providing a high standard of care that is coherent with the requirements signified in the customers daily care plan.
• Demonstrate strong sensitivity and empathy towards the customer.
• Assist the customer with activities of living such as; Showering, bathing etc., all outlined in his/her care plan.
• Pay strong attention to all aspects of the duties carried out on behalf of the customer.

Pay Rates:

• Monday to Saturday €11.50 to €13.00
• Sunday €12.50 to €14.00
• Public Holidays are paid at Double Time
• Mileage rate €0.20 per mile

Qualifications & Experience:

• The ideal candidate will hold an approved QQI Level 5 in which the compulsory modules of care skills and care of the older person are sustained.
• They may also either have one year’s experience as a Healthcare Assistant who is happy to undertake the compulsory modules supported by the client.
