Staff Nurse job opportunity - Nursing home role in Sligo

The dedicated care team are continuously trained to care for residents varying and individual needs. They cater for both short and long term respite care. Convalescent care is also available for those recovering from surgery.

Supporting the Director of Nursing the home has a dedicated team of staff nurses, senior healthcare assistants, healthcare assistants, activity coordinator, social care practitioner, allied healthcare professionals and ancillary staff, who’s focus is to enhance the lives of the elderly residents in their care.

Currently seeking a skilled Registered Staff Nurse to join the Nursing Team who will contribute to delivering the high standards of care to the residents employed in the Nursing Home.

Responsibilities and Duties

Quality of Care Responsibilities

Day to day supervision of the care and nursing staff

Co-ordinate resident activities

Work within HIQA regulations

Candidate Requirements:

Candidates must be registered with An Bord Altranais

Excellent Clinical, Leadership and Organisational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Sound decision making ability

A qualification in Gerontology desirable, but not essential.

Full driver licence and own transport

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €19.00 to €21.00 negotiable DOE
