Vaccination Nurse

Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Vaccination Nurses to support a range of immunisation programmes across Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in public health, delivering flu, COVID-19, and other vaccination programmes across schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and community healthcare settings.




Key Responsibilities

• Administer flu, COVID-19, and other vaccinations in line with national guidelines and best practice standards
• Deliver vaccination programmes across schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and community healthcare settings throughout Dublin
• Assess individuals prior to vaccination and monitor for any adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate records and clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with vaccination protocols, infection prevention measures, and cold-chain procedures
• Provide information and reassurance to patients throughout the vaccination process
• Work closely with Vaccination Nurses, Clinical Leads, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and professional accountability

Requirements

• Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Completion of mandatory training prior to commencement (provided), including:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Anaphylaxis Management
• Previous vaccination experience is desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
• Professional, adaptable, and organised approach to work
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
