Job Opportunity: Theatre Quality Lead (CNM2 Grade)

Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 (DOE)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time


Are you a passionate perioperative professional dedicated to excellence in patient safety and clinical standards? We are seeking a Theatre Quality Lead (CNM2) to join a leading Dublin hospital. This pivotal role focuses on driving a culture of continuous improvement, risk management, and person-centered care within a high-tech surgical environment.



Key Responsibilities



Quality & Risk Management: Lead clinical audits, manage risk assessments, and ensure compliance with NMBI standards and hospital policies.

Leadership: Provide professional leadership to the multidisciplinary team, fostering high morale and a culture of accountability.

Clinical Excellence: Oversee quality assurance in surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of perioperative nursing care.

Education & Development: Support staff training and project-manage new clinical initiatives to keep the department at the forefront of surgical innovation.

Operational Liaison: Act as a key link between senior management (ADON) and theatre staff to implement change management and cost-control initiatives.



Candidate Criteria



Registration: Must be a Registered General Nurse on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in an acute setting, with at least 2 years specifically in Operating Theatres.

Qualifications: A post-graduate qualification (Higher Diploma or Master's) in Perioperative Nursing, Quality, or Management is essential (or currently in pursuit).

Skills: Proven ability in clinical audit, risk management, and multidisciplinary team leadership.
