Supervising Pharmacist - Newbridge
QR Select are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervising Pharmacist to join a pharmacy in Newbridge. This is a full-time, permanent position within a well-established pharmacy that is part of a large chain. The role involves working 40 hours over 5 days, providing an excellent opportunity to lead a team and deliver exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.
As a Supervising Pharmacist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with patients, suppliers, and the local community to foster customer loyalty.
  • Dispensing prescriptions efficiently and accurately while adhering to all regulatory standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels and liaising with suppliers to ensure the availability of essential medications.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborating with the pharmacy owners to ensure the store meets performance targets.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and supporting the team in delivering excellent patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A BSc (Pharm) or MPharm qualification.
  • Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, team members, and stakeholders.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
  • Dispensing medications and providing expert advice to patients on their prescriptions and health concerns.
  • Managing inventory levels and placing orders with suppliers as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and professional standards.
  • Supporting and mentoring team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.
