Job Description

Supervising Pharmacist - Cork City
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervising Pharmacist to join our well-established pharmacy group in Cork City. This is a full-time, permanent position with a 36-hour workweek spread across 4 days. The pharmacy operates 6 days a week, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment, delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of a trusted pharmacy group.

Responsibilities
As a Supervising Pharmacist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with patients, suppliers, and the local community to foster customer loyalty.
  • Dispensing prescriptions efficiently and accurately in compliance with all regulations.
  • Monitoring stock levels and liaising with suppliers to ensure optimal inventory management.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborating with the pharmacy owners to ensure the store operates efficiently and meets performance targets.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
You will work alongside a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing excellent patient care to the local community.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a BSc (Pharm) or MPharm qualification.
  • Be registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Possess strong time management skills.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Dispensing medications and providing expert advice to patients.
  • Managing and mentoring pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels to meet patient needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and professional standards.
  • Building relationships with the local community to enhance the pharmacy's reputation.
