Role Overview:
The Supervising Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with PSI regulations and pharmacy legislation while providing outstanding pharmaceutical care. The successful candidate will lead and support the pharmacy team, deliver professional services, and build strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals within the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the dispensary operates in full compliance with PSI guidelines, pharmacy legislation, and best practice standards
- Deliver a safe, efficient, and patient-focused dispensing service
- Provide professional pharmacy services including vaccinations, health screenings, and patient counselling
- Lead the pharmacy team while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient care
- Ensure the safe and timely supply of medicines to patients and customers
- Build strong working relationships with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Oversee and support monthly HSE reimbursement claims and submissions
- Maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Manage dispensary operations, stock control, and compliance documentation
- Promote continuous improvement and support the ongoing development of pharmacy services
- Ensure excellent customer service and a positive patient experience at all times
Essential Requirements:
- Registered member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
- Hold a PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification
- Minimum 3 years post-registration experience as a Pharmacist
- Previous Supervising Pharmacist experience desirable
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Salary range
- €45 - €46 per hour
