Excel Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Supervising Pharmacist to join a well-established community pharmacy in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

Role Overview:

The Supervising Pharmacist will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the pharmacy while ensuring the highest standards of professional practice and patient care. The successful candidate will oversee dispensary operations, provide clinical services, and work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to deliver excellent healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in compliance with PSI guidelines, the Pharmacy Act, and all relevant legislation
  • Deliver a safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing service
  • Provide vaccinations, health screenings, medication counselling, and other professional pharmacy services
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and patient care
  • Ensure the safe and timely supply of medicines to patients and customers
  • Build strong working relationships with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Manage and oversee monthly HSE reimbursement claims and submissions
  • Maintain pharmacy policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
  • Support the ongoing development of pharmacy services and patient care initiatives
  • Lead and support the pharmacy team to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency

Essential Requirements:

  • Registered member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
  • Hold a PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience as a Pharmacist
  • Previous Supervising Pharmacist experience desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care

Salary range

  • €44 - €45 per hour
