Supervising Pharmacist

Duties of the Supervising Pharmacist:

• To operate the dispensary in accordance with all the legal responsibilities pertaining to the profession of pharmacy
• To exercise all aspects of law, ethics and codes of practice as laid down by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
• To ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications
• To provide professional advice and counselling to patients
• To support clinical and operational services within nursing home settings
• To lead, mentor, and support the pharmacy team
• To build and maintain strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals

Supervising Pharmacist must:

• Must be a PSI registered pharmacist with an active Irish licence
• Must have a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience
• Must have strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
• Must be commercially aware with a patient-first approach
• Must be comfortable working across both retail and nursing home environments
