Overview
As a Staff Grade Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will be an important member of the Primary Care multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, child-centred assessment and intervention services for children aged 9 years and older, helping them develop the skills they need to participate more fully in daily life.
You will manage a paediatric caseload and work closely with families, schools, and the wider MDT to deliver interventions that empower children and create meaningful, positive change for those who support them every day.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex paediatric caseload, delivering high-quality assessments and interventions
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans
- Work collaboratively with senior clinicians and the wider team to support high-quality Occupational Therapy services
- Deliver therapy across clinic, school, home, and group settings
- Support children with Autism, DCD, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including SLTs, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, and PHNs
- Liaise with families, schools, and community professionals to ensure holistic care
- Contribute to service planning, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with HSE and CORU standards
- Engage in ongoing CPD, reflective practice, and continuous professional development
Candidate Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU Registration (Essential)
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, with paediatric experience highly desirable
- Experience managing complex caseloads and working within multidisciplinary teams
- A willingness to learn from experienced clinicians and develop specialist paediatric skills
- Strong knowledge of paediatric conditions including Autism, DCD, ADHD, and developmental delays
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing your own caseload
- Flexibility to travel within the Clondalkin area as required
