Staff Care Worker

Excel Healthcare Recruitment are on the lookout for Support/Staff Care Worker (SCW) staff for our client, Oak Tree Lodge Day Service, providing support to adults with severe to profound intellectual disabilities, many of whom suffer from epilepsy. This is a temporary role on a fixed-term basis through the agency.

Location: Oak Tree Lodge Day Service, St. Mary of the Angels campus, Beaufort, Eircode: V93 K738

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 09:30-16:00 (0.5 hour lunch break included)

Duties of SCW:

• Provide personal care to residents
• Support residents with daily tasks within Oak Tree Lodge
• Attend and supervise outings and activities
• Support adults with severe disabilities, including those with epilepsy
• Follow all safety and care protocols as required

SCW must:

• Have completed Epilepsy and Buccal Midazolam training
• Experience supporting adults with severe intellectual disabilities
• Be highly organised, compassionate, and patient
• Driving licence for manual vehicles preferred but not required
• Able to commit to the full 2.5-3 month period, 30 hours/week
