
Specialist - Dermatologist - Wanted for Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada

We are currently recruiting a dermatologist to join a well-established private practice located in the beautiful city of Medicine Hat, in the province of Alberta. Our client is looking for a passionate full-time dermatologist to assume a busy practice established for more than 20 years. We pride ourselves on providing attentive and comprehensive care to our patients. The support staff are well trained and provide excellent support.
Earnings potential: Up to £400,000 gross annual earnings. In Alberta, dermatologists are paid on a fee-for-service basis which means compensation is based on the number of patients you see, and the diagnosis and treatment provided.
Patients: You will treat patients of all ages from babies to the elderly. Your work will be of huge importance to a great number of people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine patients to assess skin conditions, nail and hair concerns using a dermatoscope
- Diagnose and treat skin disorders such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, skin cancer and severe drug rashes. Use cryosurgery for pre-cancerous or benign skin lesions.
- Conduct skin cancer screenings and perform diagnosis biopsies or excisions as needed.
- Prescribe medications, topical treatments, or therapies.
- Perform cosmetic dermatology procedures
- Educate patients on proper skincare, sun protection, and disease prevention.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP)
- Ideally a Member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD)
Canadian Qualifications:
No additional examinations are required and we will assist you to obtain a licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
As well, we will pay for immigration specialists who will guide you to obtaining your work permit and permanent residency.
