Senior Speech and Language Therapist – Older persons service, Acute Hospital, South Dublin
Cpl Healthcare in partnership with a leading acute hospital in South Dublin are recruiting for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to work in a well-structured Age-Related service.
As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will have the opportunity to rotate across a number of areas for continuous learning and development. These areas include: Inpatient Age-Related Care and Rehabilitation; Gerontological Emergency Department Intervention team; Rehabilitation; Age Related Day Hospital / Ambulatory care.
You will have exciting opportunities to continue to develop existing Speech and Language Therapy services with SLT colleagues, as well as close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team in the areas of clinical care, education, service development and innovation.
As a Senior SLT will also be responsible for supervising Basic Grade/ Student SLTs as well as Therapy Assistants, and participate in their continuing professional training and development.
This position offers the following benefits:
- Competitive salary depending on experience (€64,551 - €76,007)

Candidates interested in the role must have:
- A recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist and ideally current CORU registration or in process of same.
- A minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification experience, including a minimum of one-year full time (or equivalent) recent experience in
care of the Older Person.
- Evidence of full and independent competence in the management of adult eating, drinking and swallowing disorders
- Post-graduate competence in adult videofluoroscopy or FEES analysis
