Job Title: Senior Speech and Language Therapist - Children's Disability Service

Excel Healthcare is recruiting a Senior Speech and Language Therapist for a Children's Disability Team on the Navan Road and in Cabra. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive and established services dedicated to high-quality, child-centred care

Role:
As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key leadership role in the assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic support of children with complex developmental needs. You will work closely with families, schools, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver child-centred, evidence-based interventions. You will also support the development and supervision of junior SLTs and students, contributing to the ongoing excellence of the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist assessment and intervention for children presenting with communication, speech, language, and/or feeding/swallowing needs.
- Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes in partnership with families and caregivers.
- Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, etc.).
- Provide training, guidance, and support to families, schools, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Family Support Plans (IFSPs).
- Liaise with community services, preschools, and schools to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Maintain high-quality clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior SLTs and students.
- Contribute to service planning, audits, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing CPD and promote best practice within the service.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and active CORU registration.
- 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in paediatrics or disability services.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a complex paediatric caseload.
- Strong leadership, supervision, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational abilities.
- Proven experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary range
- €64,000 - €65,000 per year
