Role: Senior Radiation Therapist

Job Type: Full Time, 12 month contract

TTM Healthcare Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Radiation Therapist for a one of Ireland’s leading private hospitals in Galway.

The role:

• Provision of an efficient and effective service to patients. This position will require staff to rotate through the various areas of the radiotherapy department incorporating Linear Accelerators, CT Simulation, Chart Preparation and Dosimetry.
• Quality assurance and calibration on a daily basis as required.
• Development and maintenance of the quality assurance program for the department.
• Maintain accurate information systems for clinical data in accordance with department and hospital policies.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of clinical, technical and radiotherapy developments to promote awareness and ensure best practices are implemented and maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment service, maintenance, malfunction and down time.
• Ensure all radiation protection standards are adhered to.
• Participate in clinical audit activities to monitor clinical standards

The Candidate:

• Bachelors Degree in Radiation Therapy or Recognized equivalent qualification
• CORU registration
• 3 years post qualification clinical experience
• Have proven Clinical & Customer Care skills
• Ability to work comfortably in multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with both clinical and administrative staff.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
