Excel Recruitment are recruiting a Senior Psychologist for an agency contract based in Linn Dara Approved Centre, Cherry Orchard, commencing in August.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within an acute approved centre setting, supporting young people with complex mental health presentations as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team.
The role is an agency contract, with an anticipated start date of September. Previous experience in acute settings and/or working with eating disorders would be highly desirable.
Successful Candidate:
The successful candidate will work as part of the multidisciplinary team within Linn Dara Approved Centre, supporting young people who require specialist mental health care within an acute setting.
You will bring sound clinical judgement, strong assessment and formulation skills, and the ability to work confidently within a busy multidisciplinary environment. A compassionate, calm, and practical approach will be essential in supporting young people with complex presentations.
Job Purpose:
The Senior Psychologist will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based therapeutic input to young people attending Linn Dara Approved Centre. The role will involve close multidisciplinary working, consultation, risk-informed clinical input, and contribution to care planning within an acute approved centre environment.
This role would particularly suit a Senior Psychologist with experience in acute mental health settings and an interest or background in eating disorder presentations.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A Doctorate or equivalent qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- Eligibility for professional registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland or relevant professional body.
- Ideally, at least 2 years' experience at staff grade level.
- Experience working within acute mental health settings is desirable.
- Experience working with eating disorder presentations is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and liaise professionally with young people, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.
