This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive HSE multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a hospital-based rehabilitation setting.
We are recruiting a full-time Senior Physiotherapist to work across Older Persons Rehabilitation units in Trim and Navan. You will play a key clinical role within a dynamic team focused on restoring functional independence and improving quality of life for older adults.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a busy, friendly, and collaborative environment, while also contributing to service development and supporting junior staff within a structured clinical setting.
This full-time role offers the opportunity to join a busy, friendly, and dynamic multidisciplinary team, where you will further develop your experience in managing mobility impairments, cognitive difficulties, dementia care, and rehabilitation within a structured clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for older adults with complex rehabilitation needs.
Develop, implement, and review evidence-based rehabilitation programmes for patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or stroke.
Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and support to Staff Grade Physiotherapists and students as required.
Work collaboratively with OTs, Nursing, Medical, and MDT colleagues to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to care.
Contribute to stroke and specialist rehabilitation pathways, ensuring optimal functional outcomes.
Lead and contribute to safe discharge planning, including family and caregiver education.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with HSE and professional standards.
Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
Current CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
Significant post-qualification experience, including experience in rehabilitation and/or older persons' services.
Demonstrated ability to work at Senior Physiotherapist level, including autonomous caseload management.
Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical reasoning skills.
Ability to thrive in a busy rehabilitation environment.

Salary range
- €65,000 - €66,000 per year
