Pharmacy Technician - Claregalway
Contract Type: Full-Time " Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
About the Role:
A busy and community-focused pharmacy in Claregalway, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their professional dispensary team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a friendly working environment and excellent work-life balance.
Working Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Every second Saturday required
• No Sundays or Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist
• Manage medication stock levels, expiry checks, and general dispensary organisation
• Process end-of-month claims and manage GMS/DPS/Hi-Tech schemes
• Provide exceptional customer service and patient support
• Prepare and manage blister packs in line with pharmacy standards
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and PSI guidelines
• Assist the Pharmacist in daily dispensary operations

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician (IPU-recognised or Dispenser Course qualification)
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in a busy community pharmacy
• Competent in schemes, end-of-month processes, and blister packaging
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
