Working Pattern: 4.5 Days per Week, Alternate Saturdays
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 7:00pm | Saturday 10:00am - 6:00pm

Role Overview:
The Pharmacy Technician will support the safe and efficient operation of the dispensary while delivering a high standard of patient care and customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, stock management, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy procedures and HSE requirements within a busy community pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions in line with pharmacy procedures
- Maintain prescription records and support monthly HSE PCRS claim submissions
- Provide professional over-the-counter advice and support to patients and customers
- Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with patients
- Manage dispensary stock, including ordering, rotation, expiry date checks, and stock control
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy dispensary
- Work closely with the Pharmacist and wider pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow
- Participate in training, professional development, and team initiatives
- Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement within the pharmacy
Essential Requirements:
- IPU Pharmacy Technician Course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies
- Previous experience working in a community pharmacy setting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a busy dispensary environment
