Pharmacy Technician

Excel Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to join a well-established pharmacy group with locations in Kilminchy (Portlaoise) and Ballyragget (Kilkenny).

This is a full-time, dual-site role on a 1-year contract, ideal for a Pharmacy Technician student or a newly qualified technician, with prior experience working in a pharmacy setting.

Contract: Full-time (1-Year Contract)

Salary: €14.50 - €16.50 per hour DOE

Role Overview:

This role will involve working across two pharmacy locations, with a split of approximately 50% dispensary work and 50% OTC support, ensuring high standards of patient care and customer service are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Provide OTC advice and support to customers in a professional and approachable manner
• Deliver excellent customer service in both dispensary and front-of-shop settings
• Support stock control, ordering, and merchandising
• Maintain accurate records in line with PSI guidelines and pharmacy procedures
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team across both locations

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting (essential)
• Experience in dispensary and/or OTC environments
• Suitable for a Pharmacy Technician student or newly qualified technician
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work across two locations
• Full driving licence and access to own transport (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
