Occupational Therapist - rotational post

Occupational Therapist, Basic Grade – Acute Hospital, South Dublin, Ireland

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with a leading acute hospital in South Dublin are recruiting for a Basic Grade Occupational Therapist for a rotational position across inpatients and outpatients service.

As a Basic Grade Occupational Therapist you will assess and treat patients who have physical or cognitive challenges to develop or recover their ability to perform meaningful activities of daily living and work with patients throughout their recovery process to determine the best treatments and plan for discharge from hospital.

This rotational post includes working across both inpatient and outpatient services, including Acute Medicine, Orthopaedics, Stroke, Neurology, Age Related Healthcare, and Rheumatology and offers an excellent salary, relocation package and training and development opportunities.

The Hospital is a provider of local, regional and national specialties. It is also a national urology centre, the second largest provider of dialysis services in the country, a regional orthopaedic trauma centre and a designated trauma unit.

This position offers the following benefits:

•Competitive salary depending on experience (€44,563 - €63,786)

•35 hour working week

•Excellent supervision and a focus on developing assessment and interventions strengths as well as continuous Training and Development sessions with a dedicated and individualised training plan

Candidates interested in the role must have:

•A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist and ideally current CORU registration or in process of same.

•3 months full time (or equivalent) experience (student and/or post-grad) in an acute hospital setting.

•Experience managing a waiting list and busy caseload.
