Spectrum Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Doctor to provide clinic-based medical services at Curragh Barracks.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a structured clinic environment, working collaboratively with on-site personnel and the wider Spectrum Health team.
This role involves running scheduled clinics, assessing and managing a broad range of primary care presentations, and ensuring safe, timely, and professional medical support.

Spectrum Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Doctor to provide clinic-based medical services at Curragh Barracks.

This role involves running scheduled clinics, assessing and managing a broad range of primary care presentations, and ensuring safe, timely, and professional medical support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Run scheduled Medical clinics for eligible patients at Curragh Barracks
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, examinations, and diagnoses
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
- Prescribe medication in line with best practice and regulatory guidelines
- Provide referrals to secondary care or specialist services where required
- Maintain accurate, clear, and timely clinical documentation
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, data protection, and Spectrum Health policies
- Participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives where required
- Fully registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
- Full Irish driving licence and own transport
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in primary care/general practice
- Indemnity cover in place
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently within a structured clinic setting
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Experience working in occupational health or military settings
- Experience delivering structured or contract-based clinic services
- Interest in service development and quality improvement
- 30 hours per week
- Clinic-based, scheduled sessions (10 sessions per week)
- No on-call or out-of-hours requirement (unless otherwise agreed)
