Role Responsibilities
As a Caregiver, you will support clients in their daily lives and help them maintain independence at home. Duties may include:
- Offering companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Assisting with walking, mobility, and stabilisation.
- Preparing meals and tidying up afterwards.
- Providing medication reminders and appointment support.
- Delivering home help services such as light housekeeping, errands, and incidental transport.
- Supporting personal care, including dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene needs.
- Contributing to a safe, positive, and comfortable living environment.
- Maintaining regular communication with your supervisor and office team.
- Using equipment and supplies safely and appropriately.
- Accurately reporting hours worked in line with company policy.
- Carrying out other reasonable duties as assigned.
Essential Skills & Requirements

- Previous caregiving experience.
- Respectful, patient, and caring attitude towards clients and their homes.
- Ability to adapt to different home environments and client needs.
- Strong communication skills with clients and families.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Willingness to run errands and provide incidental transportation.
- High levels of motivation, enthusiasm, and reliability.
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling and other role demands.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including overnight care.
- Qualifications & Other requirements
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or equivalent) OR commitment to achieving this within 3 months of joining.
- Full Irish driving licence OR commitment to obtaining one within 3 months.

- This role will cover clients across County Mayo.

- Work permit sponsorship may be offered after successful completion of a 6-month probation period
- Accommodation can be provided where the Employee pays rent and utilities.
