GP Practice Nurse Cork (full or part-time)

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client, a large GP practice located close to Cork city is recruiting an experienced Practice Nurse to join their practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy GP practice setting.

The GP practice offers an array of services including

• General Practice: Routine consultations, chronic disease management (diabetes, heart disease, asthma).
• Women’s Health: Pregnancy care, contraception, fertility advice, Mirena coil insertion/removal.
• Men’s Health: Health screening, prostate checks, STI screening.
• Children’s Health: Immunisations, health checks, varicella vaccine.
• Minor Surgery: Cryotherapy, joint injections, abscess drainage, Implanon insertion/removal.
• Occupational Health: Pre-employment medicals, drug & alcohol testing, spirometry.
• Vaccinations: Flu, pneumococcal, Covid-19, childhood immunisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practice.
• Conduct health assessments, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma), and preventative care.
• Administer vaccinations, wound care, and phlebotomy.
• Support patient education and promote health and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMBI registration.
• Previous experience in a GP practice or primary care setting preferred.
• Completed colposcopy & phlebotomy courses
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
