About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Trained General Practitioner to join a highly regarded, traditional family practice located on the Beara Peninsula in West Cork, along Ireland's world-famous Wild Atlantic Way.
This long-established practice serves a diverse mix of local residents, seafarers, and visiting tourists. The role is ideally suited to a vocationally trained Family Medicine Specialist seeking a rewarding position in a supportive rural community while enjoying an exceptional lifestyle in one of Ireland's most scenic coastal regions.
About the Practice
Mixed GMS and private patient base
Team includes: 1 full-time GP, 1 part-time GP, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 Medical Secretaries, and a Practice Manager
Fully computerised practice using the Socrates management system
Excellent administrative, nursing, and management support
No weekends or out-of-hours commitment required
5 weeks annual leave

Requirements
Specialist-trained General Practitioner (MICGP, MRCGP (UK), or equivalent)
Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) - Specialist Division in General Practice - this is an essential requirement
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Strong understanding of IMC and HSE standards, guidelines and regulations
Recent, relevant experience in family medicine / general practice
Demonstrated interest in men's health - this is ESSENTIAL
