Our client, a Cork City flagship acute hospital is nationally recognised for high-acuity care, innovation and leadership in cardiac and cancer services. It serves over 100,000 patients annually and offers a comprehensive range of surgical and medical specialties. Recent strategic investments include the expansion of the Emergency Acute Floor (co-located with Urgent Cardiac Care) and the commissioning of an ICU, reinforcing the hospital’s position as a centre of clinical excellence in the Munster region.
This is a senior executive leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forming a key part of the Senior Executive Team. You will provides strategic, professional and operational leadership for all nursing services, while contributing to the overall strategic direction, performance and future development of the hospital. The role plays a central part in advancing clinical excellence, patient safety, innovation, and workforce capability in line with network-wide ambitions.

To be considered for the role, the following criteria apply:
Essential
- Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
- Minimum 7–10 years’ senior nursing leadership experience within acute hospital settings
- Proven capability operating at executive and strategic leadership level
- Postgraduate qualification in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related discipline
- Demonstrable expertise in clinical governance, quality improvement and organisational change
- Eligible to work in Ireland
