Director of Care, Residential & Specialist Care Services | North Dublin

A leading provider of residential and specialist care services is seeking an experienced Director of Care to lead care delivery within one of its largest and most complex designated centres.

This senior leadership role carries full accountability for the governance, quality, and safety of care, encompassing both long‑term residential care and specialist ABI services.

As Director of Care, you will be fully responsible for the effective governance and delivery of care within the designated centre, ensuring ongoing compliance with the Health Act 2007 and all HIQA Regulations and National Standards.

You will lead a structured clinical leadership team, including Assistant Directors of Care, ensuring consistency, strong oversight, and high‑quality outcomes across the service.

Working in close partnership with the Director of Operations, you will align clinical excellence with operational performance, workforce planning, and service development.

Essential Requirements

• Registered Nurse with active NMBI registration.
• Senior clinical leadership experience in a regulated Irish care environment.
• Proven experience as a Person in Charge (PIC) or in an equivalent role with regulatory accountability.
• Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management, leadership, or a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulations, governance frameworks, and inspections.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience within complex or multi‑service environments (e.g. long‑term care and specialist services).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience leading or supporting services through HIQA inspections.
