We are inviting applications for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our compassionate and forward-thinking team at a leading HSE hospital on Ireland's stunning west coast.
About the Role
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, family-centred care to infants, children, and young people. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients while contributing to service development and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of paediatric patients
Deliver both inpatient and outpatient paediatric services
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
Supervise and support junior doctors and trainees
Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to teaching, research, and service development
Essential Requirements
Specialist registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council in Paediatrics
Significant experience at Consultant level (or equivalent)
Strong clinical expertise across general paediatrics (subspecialty interest desirable)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Commitment to high standards of patient-centred care
