Consultant in Emergency Medicine –(12‑Month Contract)

Cpl Healthcare is delighted to partner with a major HSE University Hospital in the South West to recruit a Temporary Consultant in Emergency Medicine. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, well‑resourced Emergency Department within one of Ireland’s busiest acute hospitals.

The successful candidate will be required to lead a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced ED delivering critical, high‑quality, Consultant‑led emergency care, working within a collaborative clinical environment with strong support for innovation, quality improvements, and patient-focused care. Participation in the Consultant on‑call rota, essential.

This is a 12 month contract with salary aligned with the HSE Consultants Public‑Only contract, with generous allowances and significant earning potential.

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be registered in the Specialist Division for Emergency Medicine on the Medical Council Register (Ireland).
• Demonstrate strong expertise and evidence‑based clinical decision-making.
• Have proven leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Show commitment to patient dignity, safety, and quality of care.
• Possess strong organisational and planning skills.
• Be Eligible to work in Ireland.
