Consultant Cardiologist (Electrophysiology) - Private Clinic, West of Ireland
Position: Consultant Cardiologist
Special Interest: Electrophysiology (EP)
Location: West of Ireland
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Clinic
We are a leading, modern private clinic located in the beautiful West of Ireland, dedicated to providing expert, patient-focused cardiovascular care. Our multidisciplinary team works with the latest diagnostic and interventional technologies, delivering high-quality services to local, national, and international patients. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in Electrophysiology to join our growing cardiology department.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will provide specialist EP services alongside general cardiology care. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and expansion of our Electrophysiology programme within a supportive, well-equipped clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive Electrophysiology services, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of arrhythmias.
Perform EP studies, device implantations, and ablation procedures (where applicable).
Provide outpatient and inpatient cardiology consultations.
Work collaboratively with the wider cardiology, nursing, and diagnostic teams.
Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service development.
Contribute to education and mentorship within the clinic.
Candidate Requirements
Specialist qualification in Cardiology with accredited training in Electrophysiology.
Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) at Specialist level.
Proven clinical experience in EP procedures and arrhythmia management.
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centred care skills.
Commitment to high clinical standards and continuous professional development.
