About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes the dignity, independence, comfort, and wellbeing of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
- Support residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Assist residents with eating, drinking, and ensuring their comfort.
- Build positive relationships by providing companionship and emotional support.
- Participate in and help organise social and recreational activities.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and best practice standards.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be an EU citizen.
- Have excellent English language skills.
- Hold a QQI Level 5 qualification or an equivalent qualification in one of the following:
- Healthcare Assistant
- Care Assistant
- Nursing Assistant
- Social Care
- Special Needs
- Nursing Care Technician
- Technician in Care for People
- Support Worker
- Nursing
- Previous experience in elderly care is desirable.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be organised, observant, compassionate, and professional.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Be flexible to work both day and night shifts.
