Location: South Dublin- Private Hospital

Salary: €48,000 - €65,000

Role Overview

The Cardiac Physiologist supports the delivery of high-quality cardiac diagnostic services. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, carrying out tests, assisting in procedures, and ensuring patient care is safe, efficient, and professional.

Key Responsibilities



Clinical Duties

• Perform and interpret:
  • ECGs
  • Exercise (stress) tests o Blood pressure monitoring o Holter monitoring
• Assist with cardiac procedures, including work in the catheterisation lab (with supervision initially)
• Support echocardiography and have a basic understanding of pacemakers and defibrillators
• Maintain accurate patient records and reports

Patient Care & Communication

• Provide a high standard of patient care at all times
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare staff
• Work closely with consultants, nurses, and other team members

Operations & Equipment

• Ensure equipment is used safely and kept clean
• Report faults, incidents, or complaints appropriately
• Help maintain efficient day-to-day service delivery

Quality & Safety

• Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, and risk management activities
• Support a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Training & Development

• Keep skills and knowledge up to date
• Attend training and development programmes
• Support the training and induction of new staff when required

Requirements



Essential

• Degree in Clinical Measurement or equivalent
• Relevant certification in physiological measurement (or equivalent) Minimum 3 years' experience in a cardiology setting * Experience in at least one of the following:

o Cardiac pacing o Catheterisation lab o Echocardiography
