Location: South Dublin, Co. Dublin
Salary: €71,000 - €86,000 per year

The Opportunity
Our client, a prestigious independent not-for-profit hospital, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join their senior leadership team in South Dublin. This critical role provides clinical oversight and operational management for a high-quality in-patient service specialising in neuropsychiatric care for adults with serious and enduring mental health needs, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's Disease.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership: Support the Director of Nursing in delivering safe, person-centred care across in-patient units.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all services meet Mental Health Commission (MHC) requirements and NMBI standards.
Staff Management: Oversee workforce planning, rostering, and professional development for the nursing team.
Quality Improvement: Lead clinical audits, risk management initiatives, and service development projects.
Advocacy: Deputise for the Director of Nursing as required, representing the hospital's mission and ethos.
Essential Requirements
NMBI Registration: Must be a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years post-registration experience, including at least 3 years in a senior nursing management role (e.g., CNM2 or higher).
Specialist Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in adult mental health and an in-depth understanding of the Mental Health Act.
Qualifications: A post-registration management qualification (Level 8 or higher) is highly desirable.
