Excel Healthcare Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a well-established nursing home located in Stillorgan, Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader looking to progress their career within a large and supportive nursing home group.

Location: Stillorgan, Dublin

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 DOE

Duties of the Assistant Director of Nursing:

  • Support the Director of Nursing in the overall clinical and operational management of the nursing home
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to all residents
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with HIQA standards and company policies
  • Lead and support nursing and care staff, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
  • Conduct audits and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are implemented
  • Oversee staff training, induction, and ongoing professional development
  • Participate in recruitment, staffing, and workforce planning
  • Assist in the management of clinical risk, incident reporting, and quality assurance
  • Deputise for the Director of Nursing as required

The Assistant Director of Nursing must:

  • Be a Registered General Nurse with a valid NMBI PIN
  • Have a minimum of 3 years management experience in the care of the elderly
  • Hold a post-registration management qualification or be working towards same
  • Demonstrate strong clinical, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Have a proven track record in clinical governance and quality standards
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be driven, motivated, and committed to delivering high standards of care

Salary range

  • €55,000 - €60,000 per year
