Reed Health have an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician to join our clients dynamic Speech and Language Therapy team and an established multidisciplinary team working with adults in the area of brain injury and neuro-disability rehabilitation.
We are looking for a dynamic therapist with at least 3 years experience in working with adults with acquired neurological disorders in a rehabilitation setting. You will be working across two units that provides for clients with complex neurodisability and the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit which focuses on clients with primary cognitive disorder and challenging behaviour. You must have specialist knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders related to acquired brain injury. You will deliver goal orientated therapy programmes, specialist outreach assessment and will take on a key worker role.
Our client have a strong commitment to continuing professional development and an extensive training program. You will receive regular clinical supervision and managerial support from the Lead Speech and Language Therapist. There are opportunities for service development, research and project work. You can contribute to the development of the in-service and training program. The role also includes providing supervision to junior members of the team and taking students.
Tracheostomy management skills would be an advantage, but are not essential.
A neuro-disability unit and a challenging behaviour unit.
HPC and RCSLT registration is essential for all posts.
