QSW Assistant Team Manager
Salary Range - Up to £38,975

Assistant Team Managers are required for various job based in Aylesbury & High Wycombe, for our client Buckinghamshire County Council.
You will assist in prioritising assessment and planning for the range of services within the Children and Families portfolio. This includes co-ordination and delivery of a range of social work services to children, young people and their families.

Main Duties of the QSW Assistant Team Manager Job:
· To supervise staff, qualified and unqualified up to and including Senior Social Workers to ensure the continuity of service delivery by the team.
· To manage the unallocated cases within the team, to identify any action required and delegate as necessary
· Undertake assessments in conjunction with the service user, their parents or carers and other agencies.
· To act as a resource for other team members in working with complex cases and contribute to training staff
· To attend court and support less experienced social workers during legal proceedings

· Qualification in Social Work (eg: DipSW)
· GSCC Registration or eligible to
· Extensive knowledge of the legislative and theoretical framework
· Demonstrable work experience in a role within a Children';s Services Department
· Experience in effective man-management
· Experience of carrying out assessments of need and risk in Children';s Services
· Have good interpersonal skills
· IT skills
· Ideally have a full driving license and access to a vehicle
