Volunteer- Nurse Midwife Mentor/ Clinical Facilitator-Uganda with Voluntary Services Overseas Ireland (VSO)
Location: Matany School of Nursing, Napak District. Uganda
Duration of role: 12 months

Their high-impact approach brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, promote international understanding and action to change lives and make the world a fairer place.
To support the midwives and nurses in the clinical facilitation of students nurses, clinical officers and interns. Build the capacity of health workers in the hospital to provide bed-side teaching and implement competency based learning.
Support the roll-out of the national Nursing and Midwifery Curriculum by coaching tutors in the implementation and advising on additional adolescent friendly service provision and early essential new-born care
Skills, qualifications and experience
The individual should be:
Allowance and accommodation
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country. The cost of accommodation is fully covered for the duration of the stay.
This project is funded by Irish Aid’s Volunteering Initiative which aims to promote volunteering within Ireland and the Irish public. Irish citizens or people living in Ireland are encouraged to apply.
