Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is the first Trust in the UK to trial a new model of District Nursing known as the Buurtzorg Model, an entirely Nurse-led approach to patient care in the community. The future of District Nursing at our Trust will be revolutionary. We hope to move forward with this model after the project so in the future you could find yourself working in a completely different way.
If you would like to gain broader knowledge and experience in our community services and explore different opportunities then why not apply to our rotation programme? You will have the opportunity to work in our virtual ward Applyome service, rehabilitation units and District Nursing or we can even create a bespoke rotation programme depending on your areas of interest.
