We are looking for a HCPC registered and experienced social worker to join our Child Protection Team in Bodmin. Experience of working in a child protection team is essential.
The successful candidate should be able:
To be responsible for undertaking all social work tasks within Government and departmental prescribed timescales and standards on a caseload of complex cases as required by the Service/Team Manager.
To ensure that the welfare of the child/young person is paramount at all times.
To ensure that all assessments and interventions for which the post holder is responsible, safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. To use an evidence based approach and be able to demonstrate the influences on decision that have been made.
To ensure that there is full and active participation of children, young people, their families and carers, in decision-making where-ever possible
To actively participate in team meetings and enable others to learn from good practice.
To be enthusiastic in their participation in supervision with their line manager and will resolve issues of difference in an appropriate professional manner. The aim is that all team members will be responsible for the health of the team and the atmosphere of cooperative and supportive working.
The worker should be able to drive and have access to their own transport.
